Loved the book!!! Went on a seven hour drive with my sister and she read the first half of the book to me and when we got home I had to buy the book and finished it that night so good
I really enjoyed this book. The author has created an interesting alien society with it's own mores and customs. The characters are believable and interesting. And the book is age appropriate. Although I think adults would enjoy it as well.
I whole heartedly recommend this book.
What a page turner! I didn't know what to expect going in, but this book had everything I look for in great YA science fiction a strong plot, well-developed characters who actually change and grow by the end of the tale, and world building that I can sink my teeth into. Bravo to the author on his debut novel.
This book is so much fun! It kept me entertained from beginning to end. Abraham is imaginative and thoroughly descriptive. The characters are well thought-out and consistently true to their natures throughout the book. So many times modern day writers change the characters’ natures to fit their story line and events in the book. It was also refreshing to read a well-developed plot. I loved listening to the audiobook, too. Hannah Preisinger did an excellent job representing all the characters, especially Ayla and her sister. As her voice came through, it was like listening to Ayla – relatable, lovable-geek, courageous, awkward and yet with a strangely inherent self-confidence. I don’t know how she pulled it off!

Karani or not, Ayla is a delightful protagonist who discovers who she is and hopes to become by fighting the Abomination—Soul Drinkers who zap the life out of their victims.
I give Terra Soul two thumbs up. But this recommendation comes with a warning hold onto your Batmobile, Batman, you’re in for a wild ride!
